Despite the fact that I've been very MIA lately, this blog is officially a year old! This project of mine has been anything but consistent, especially with regard to my post frequency, but I'm taking the fact that it's still alive one year on to be a win.
Before I disappear again, I would like to provide an update on how my publishing journey has been going so far. In short, Contrarian is fantastic. Jamie Ryu has built an incredible publishing house on pillars of integrity and expertise, and I would recommend her and her team to anyone looking for a professional (and fun) experience. The best thing? They're just getting started. I see a very bright future for this company.
I can't share too many details about what I've been up to, but I can provide a glimpse of my recent timeline.
February: received feedback to help direct the first round of developmental edits
March: completed my first round of dev. edits
April: selected my cover artist
May: received feedback on the first round of dev. edits
Throw moving into the mix and you can see why I've been a little quiet as of late!

I'm hoping to have my second round of dev. edits completed by the middle of June. Have I started them yet? Nope! However, I don't expect this round to take as long because I'm enhancing changes I've already made. Things become more solid plot-wise the more I progress, and everything is feeling fantastic.
While you can pray for me re: my upcoming edits, send your best virtual vibes as I try to sus out a new title for my book. Jamie made a great point that my current title is a little on the nose, and that is the last thing I want.
Alas, I must return to setting up the new place. We are making it a nerdy haven and loving it so far!
