The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

With each passing day, the above quote from Orwell's 1984 becomes increasingly relevant. The various branches of the American government appear continuously unable to stem the tide of the ever-maddening directions of Tangerine Palpatine as the greedy tyrant grabs even more of what isn't his. He and his cronies are corrupt to the core as they try to mold the world in their bigoted, narcissistic self-image.

Horrible sequay aside, focusing on my book has been one of the ways I'm fighting back against the world's unjust cruelty. The pre-order campaign for Alison's Adventures in Time officially launched this week. Contrarian has partnered with Nooks Gallery & Book Shop to bring you an exclusive perk in the form of an art print that can be cut into playing cards. The art is character busts of Alison, Maria, Albert, and Chester, all created by the incredibly talented @we.breathe_words.

For those of you in southwestern Ontario, stay tuned for info about a potential in-person event. I'm hoping that attendees will be able to purchase a book on site and get a scribbled autograph from me if they so choose.

Until then, keep on keeping on. All we can do is what we can.
